The Hotel Amalienburg is located in Munich Obermenzing, a little west of the centre of Munich, but perfectly connected to the city centre and all transport hubs. Close to commercial areas of the entire west of Munich, you are practically accommodated in our hotel!

From the airport take the S 1 to Laim, then change to the S 2. Get off at the next station “Obermenzing” and walk into town. NOT in the direction of the blue house!!! Alternatively, you can take bus 162 or 143 from the S-Bahn station one stop to “Lustheimstraße”. Hotel Amalienburg is on the left side of the road.
From the S-Bahn station Moosach (S 1) change to a taxi – taxi ride about 6 minutes.
From the airport direction Munich on the A 92. At the next motorway junction, stay straight ahead, direction München-West. Then comes the motorway junction Feldmoching. Stay in the left lane again, continue straight ahead towards München-West. Then comes the motorway junction Munich-Allach, here again stay in the left lane, straight ahead towards Munich-West. Follow the exit München-Obermenzing, exit here, you are now automatically on the A 8 (motorway Stuttgart-Munich). From here, continue straight until the end of the motorway (there is a roundabout here) and continue along the road. The extension of the Stuttgart motorway is called Verdistraße, after about 1.9 km the Verdistraße is called Amalienburgstraße. On the left side of the road is the Hotel Amalienburg. From the end of the motorway to the hotel it is about 2 km.
From the main station, take tram 17 in the direction of Amalienburgstraße. (Travel time 17 minutes) Get off at the final stop and continue straight ahead, out of town, past the organic supermarket on the left. Walking time about 4 minutes. You will see the hotel immediately after the Bavaria Petrol petrol station on the right. If you arrive by S-Bahn, please take line S2 and get off at “Obermenzing”. Walk about 8 minutes into the city of Verdistr. until you find the hotel on the left.
At the junction München-Süd keep right on A 995 (direction motorway Lindau) Straight ahead on the Mittlerer Ring. Follow the Mittlerer Ring towards the Lindau motorway You drive onto the Lindau motorway Take the exit München Laim and then turn right onto Fürstenriederstraße – always straight ahead, cross the wide Landsbergerstraße and then drive through the Laimer underpass. You are now in Wotanstraße, always follow this road and then follow the signs Autobhan Stuttgart. You pass the Romanplatz, drive past the Nymphenburg Palace (on your left), from here about 2 km out of town. Hotel Amalienburg is located on the right side of the street. The Amalienburgstraße is only a short stretch of Amalienburgstraße, then Verdistraße.
From the end of the motorway (after the roundabout) continue straight ahead, the extension of the Stuttgart motorway is called Verdistraße. After 2 km this street is called Amalienburgstraße. You will find us in a slight left turn on the left side of the road.
At the motorway junction Neufahrn take the A 92 towards the motorway Stuttgart. Then comes the motorway junction Feldmoching. Take the A 99 towards the motorway Stuttgart, or München-West. Motorway junction München-Allach, stay in the left lane, continue straight ahead towards München-West. Exit Munich-Obermenzing, you are now on the A 8 (Stuttgart motorway). Pass Richard Strauss Airport, at the next motorway junction (motorway junction München-Neufahren) stay straight ahead, direction München-West. You are now on the A 99. Stay in the left lane, continue straight ahead towards München-West. Exit Munich-Obermenzing, you are now on the A 8 (Stuttgart motorway). From the end of the motorway (after the roundabout) continue straight ahead, the extension of the Stuttgart motorway is called Verdistraße, after 2 km this road is called Amalienburgstraße. You will find us in a slight left turn on the left side of the road.
Exit München-Kreuzhof, you are then on the Lindau motorway. Leave this motorway at the “Laim” exit. Drive along Fürstenriederstraße, approx. 3 km. Then you come to a very large intersection, the Landsbergerstraße crosses the Fürstenriederstraße here. DO NOT follow the signs to Stuttgart to the left, but continue straight ahead through the Laimer underpass. You are then in Wotanstraße. After about 1.6 km you will reach Romanplatz, where you turn left, motorway Stuttgart. After about 3 km you will reach the Amalienburgstraße, after the Bavaria Petrol petrol station you will see the hotel on the right side of the road in a slight right turn.
